Olympics for pets in Hong Kong
Who said Olympics are conducted only for humans? Humans are good enough to conduct Olympic events for pets. The ongoing ‘Pet Olympic events’ in Hong Kong is an example for how pet dogs vie for their medal tallies in long jump, high jump, running and of on. Their masters are also allowed to run alongwith them. The pets chill themselves in a swimming pool after the tiresome events. Any reader of this posting is right now there in Hong Kong? Swimming from a crane in Hamburg – Germany
Hamburg was in news between end July and mid first week of August when the ‘Cruise Tourism Festival’ took place at Hamburg port. The well-lit festival had the luxury cruise ‘Queen Mary – 2’ floating on its waters through the famous 'Landungsbrucken’ area.
If this was the cynosure of all eyes at Hamburg, its waters had another tale to say. 11 international swimmers including a woman dived from a crane – from a height of 50 feet to 90 feet in Hamburg waters. A similar event took place in Italy and Austria before.
Red Bull Air Race in Budapest – Hungary
Austria’s Hanes Arc – the pilot who won the ‘Red Bull Air Race’ after crossing all the hurdles in élan with his risky performance said he was excited and shedding tears of joy. The event was ‘Red Bull Race’ in Budapest and the time Hanes Arc took to win the race was a meager I minute 3 seconds.
The second and third place went to England.
